Mykonos
Mykonos is famous for its iconic windmills. Most of them were built by the Venetians in the 16th century, but their construction continued into the early 20th century. They were primarily used to mill wheat.
Another windmill. I zoomed in on this one while I was sitting outside at a restaurant enjoying a cool drink.
This cat was obviously pregnant. She was sitting in the shade outside of a seafood restaurant.
Mama cat with her kittens. There were several food dishes nearby, so they are being fed.
After traveling around mainland Greece for a week, we boarded our cruise ship for a 7 day cruise on the Aegean Sea. Our first stop was the Greek island of Mykonos. It was beautiful!

The windmills are different from what I'm used to. The architecture and landscape are marvelous.
A beautiful place for relaxing and enjoying a drink.
It looks like you were in the most beautiful place on earth!! There is a song I like called "Mykonos" by the Fleet Foxes, and I never knew what they meant. Now I see!! Just SO much beauty! I have never seen windmills that look like this, they are awesome. How could you ever tear yourself away?
Beautiful photos wonderful views
absolutely stunning photos of those windmills and all that gorgeous water and blue and white buildings.. Love the mama cat with kittens at the end.
The windmills are quite different from the ones I have seen. Beautiful photos and scenery. Lots of cats there to greet you, glad that they are being fed.
Your photos of Mykonos are beautiful and the cats adorable! I have been to some of the Greek islands but not to Mykonos, maybe next time ;)
Beautiful is almost an understatement. Mykonos has to be one of the most beautiful places on earth and your photos prove it.
I really wish to visit Mykonos one day. The white walls against the blue water looks so amazing. Beautiful collection of photos
That sea water looks gorgeous
Oh, the color of the water, so beautiful!
And the door, reminds me of Santorini.
Awww, sweet kittens!
It all looks so good being in this grey, cold weather! Thank you for sharing!
Buildings harnessing the power of wind almost seem centuries ahead of themselves these days. :-)
What great photos of a beautiful place...thanks for sharing your memories from your visit! The colors are stupendous.
Beautiful, I love the blue doors and domes, the white washed walls, the windmills, the beautiful clear water of the sea. Amazing photos.
