Meteora Restaurant
A photo of the grandmother (who apparently still does most of the cooking) when she was a young girl.
Another old photo of a family member sitting outside in front of the restaurant.
Inside the kitchen, where we choose our dishes and were served by family members.
Veal meatballs, green beans, and rice were my choices.
One of the many wonderful meals we enjoyed in Greece was at the Meteora Restaurant in Kalampka. This place has been run by the same family for generations and upon entering, we were invited right into the kitchen and allowed to choose our own food from huge pots on the stove. The servers were all family members and very friendly. You can also order from their menu. The food was delicious and the decor was fun to look at while we were eating.

Wow,this place is amazing! it is an adventure just by itself. I love those old instruments, and the unusual curtains. Going back to the kitchen is amazing.
I would hate to have to make a choice from all those pots, I might have to take a spoon of each. what a great idea to do that. love the décor and my favorite is the curtains. I might do that to mine. I like the knives and gun collection a lot
What a great looking restaurant...and the food sure looks yummy too. Great to have family treasures displayed for your enjoyment!
That looks like a great experience.
Some very unusual wall decorations!
Hello,
Looks like a nice restaurant with neat decorations. It is neat to be invited into the restaurant's kitchen. The meal does look delicious. Enjoy your day, wishing you a great week ahead.
That looks very inviting. What an experience to step in to the kitchen and choose what you wish to have by looking at all the pots.
Nice
That looks like a wonderful place, Lois!
I've never been invited into a kitchen, that is pretty neat.
Beautifully captured and the food looks delicious.
Nicely decorated.
Oh, this looks a lot like our oldest Italian restaurant in town!
I like it a lot when people are that proud and bring in personal items!
You can see how the pizza goes in the oven, but the other meals... no access but ordering à la carte.
Great idea with visiting the kitchen to choose your meal!
And hmmm, looks very yummy!
I've eaten in that very same restaurant, Lois! Thanks for the memories, especially of the wait staff. :-)
Gostei de ver e aproveito para desejar a continuação de uma boa semana.
