Yesterday I showed photos from my visit to the top of the Acropolis in Athens, Greece, but many original artifacts have been removed from their location up there to the nearby Acropolis Museum. This was done to restore and protect them from further damage from the elements. Here are a few of my photos from inside the Acropolis Museum.

I like the 4th one down that shows all the modern day people with the artifacts from the past, the distant past. makes me wonder what the people who created this art would think if they saw the people visitng their art
Such amazing things to see. I'm struck by the detail of the women's hair in that last photo. It's very beautiful.
Such beautiful sculptures...and I believe a lot are in museums in England...maybe from other sites.
They stand out beautifully in the modern architecture.

Yes it is better to keep them inside to protect them from the elements. It is amazing what they made in those old times.
