The Grove

Built in 1840 by territorial governor Richard Keith Call, the Grove is located near downtown and next door to the Florida Governor's Mansion. It was recently restored and the house and surrounding grounds are a beautiful place to visit on a warm spring day. To learn more about the fascinating history of this house, you can visit their website here.

It is beautiful. And I love the way the trees shade the grass, making beautiful patterns of light and dark. Do they give tours, and have you been inside?

That´s a beautiful place. I can nearly see the people on a sunny, warm day outside, but yes, I´d like to see the interior, too!

It's certainly lovely. I miss those live oaks hanging with Spanish moss everywhere in Tallahassee!

...wow, what a gorgeous building, I see that we are in the south! We have a few Greek Rival buildings locally that could be a cousin to this one. Thank Lois for sharing, enjoy!

Reminds me of a house in Charleston where the governor stays when he's in town.
