Buffer zone

Lake Jackson is located not far from my house. The lake is popular with fisherman and boaters. I even used to go water skiing on this lake many years ago. This boat ramp and floating dock provide access to the lake and, as you can read from the sign, it is also a restoration area for maintaining water quality, reducing erosion and providing wildlife habitat. Also before anyone asks in the comments, yes, there are plenty of alligators in and around this lake!

Linking to signs, signs.

Keeping our water resources safe is no small task. I'm thankful that steps are being taken like this.

The place looks peaceful.

That's great to see, enhancing the natural processes of the lake. I remember swimming in other lakes and not worrying about gators...maybe I should have.

So is this area a separate part of the lake? The little pink markers look like pink water lilies.

I would enjoy being here, looks like my kind of place. Lovely that it is under restoration. We need to keep these places for future generations to enjoy.
