Buffer zone
Lake Jackson is located not far from my house. The lake is popular with fisherman and boaters. I even used to go water skiing on this lake many years ago. This boat ramp and floating dock provide access to the lake and, as you can read from the sign, it is also a restoration area for maintaining water quality, reducing erosion and providing wildlife habitat. Also before anyone asks in the comments, yes, there are plenty of alligators in and around this lake!

...over here on Maui. I see lots of dune restoration signs.
A great place and I had to smile upon your last sentence! :-)
And wow, you went water skiing anyways?!
Um lago muito bonito e calmo, aproveito para desejar a continuação de uma boa semana.

Hmmm.... alligators. I'll keep my distance. ;-)
Hello
It is good they have a buffer and restoration zone. Pretty view of the lake.
Enjoy your day and week ahead!
it is beautiful and all the water in FL there are gators.. great shots
Keeping our water resources safe is no small task. I'm thankful that steps are being taken like this.
The place looks peaceful.
That's great to see, enhancing the natural processes of the lake. I remember swimming in other lakes and not worrying about gators...maybe I should have.
So is this area a separate part of the lake? The little pink markers look like pink water lilies.
We need more projects like this!
Happy to see they appreciate and look after the lake Lois ✨
I would enjoy being here, looks like my kind of place. Lovely that it is under restoration. We need to keep these places for future generations to enjoy.
Glad there are measures in place to protect the lake.
Pretty place! Water skiing is something I have never tried!! I'm sure I would've wiped out!! ha ha LOL
