Sheep family

I took this photo when my daughter and I were on a tour driving around the Ring of Kerry in Ireland on our vacation earlier this summer. When we saw these sheep along the side of the road, I quickly snapped this shot and didn't realize until I enlarged the photo later on that there was a baby walking in between the two adult sheep. The sheep closest to the road appears to be giving us a stern look, while the one on the other side is eating and seems to be oblivious to traffic. We saw a lot of sheep during our trip and they were often wandering free just like this little family. Sheep wander the roads in Ireland because they graze common land shared by multiple farmers and each farmer marks their own sheep with a spot of distinctive color on its wool.

Linking to Saturday's Critters and Camera Critters.

Goodness, they have escaped! I hope they were all right. SO cute! Yes, the one on your side is staring you down. A perfect picture really. The baby lamb is ALMOST the black sheep of the family.

Fortunately the roads are not so busy with traffic and they can walk safely there.

Such a sweet family although I'm sure they should be on the other side of the fence 😊 I know what you mean about the black swans Lois, for me it's the white swans, the white swans here are the first I've seen in all my years in Australia.

I remember well the Ring of Kerry! So many great memories of Mom & my trip to Ireland back in the 90s. Wish I could go back! Gorgeous photos. What a sweet little sheep family.

These are super photos Lois. I'm glad you were able to get over to the UK, as I have been catching up on your posts reading about your poor leg. Very sorry to hear about that and wishing you back to 100 percent very quickly.
