Ross Castle is a 15th century tower house on the edge of Lough Leane, the largest of three lakes in the park.
Here are some more photos I took during our jaunting car ride through Killarney National Park. It was chilly and rainy when we started our ride and by the time we were about halfway through, the sun came out for a bit. We found out on this vacation that the weather in Ireland can change very fast!

Ireland is so green, must be due to all the rain dat comes down there.
Hi there, just now getting caught up with you, and so enjoying your Ireland pictures! So far I love the Bunratty castle the most, wow, what a fascinating place!! You said around 1400 something, right? Wow, just think of all the amazing history. I LOVE THE BRICK AND I love the windows! I also liked the marble factory pictures. And this post, such pretty scenery.....so fresh and green everything is! that lake is so pretty. I'm so glad you're sharing these pictures with us.....I've never been there and I'm pretty sure I never will get there, ha ha LOL!! Happy Fall!
Just enjoyed the post about the cliffs of M. too.....wow, they are terrifyingly BIG AND TALL AND HIGH aren't they!!?? so scary, yet so pretty. I loved the little dog on the donkey too, how cute! you probably said, but I forget....was this your first trip there, or had you been before? It sure is a beautiful place. Do you have ancestors from there? I do

Hello, Ireland is beautiful. The castle and park views are lovely. Looks very green and lush! Beautiful photos, thanks for sharing your trip! Happy Monday, enjoy your day and new week!
Looks like a hiker's dream
LOVE the castle and love the FERNS. beautiful trail also.
The green is so intense and beautiful!
So nice to see, especially since autumn really has arrived now...
I like the artistic flare that you give these photos, more interest in the framing and textures, since colors were kind of limited!
...the first image is stunning.
The landscape is just incredible.
Such gorgeous green scenery. Your first image is absolutely beautiful. The weather does change fast here. :)
Such lush green in every direction. No wonder they call Ireland the Emerald Isle. The views are spectacular.
I'm loving all your shots from your trip to Ireland Lois, too gorgeous. You can see why it's called the Emerald Isle 💚
The first picture is my favorite, how beautiful! Ireland really IS the Emerald Isle! Everything so green and beautiful.
The carriage ride looks well worth doing, Lois!
So lovely and green -- you had the right speed of transportation for taking pictures!
What a great ride you had, Lois. The scenery is lovely!
It's beautiful there. I especially like your first and last shots. You handled the changing weather perfectly with your ride and got to see so much scenery. The weather there seems a lot like Washington state, at least where we live.
Cool park
It sure is wonderfully green in Ireland. The castle looks very lovely in that first picture!
i like so much...Thanks for sharing the good information!
