Irish critters

I took these photos at a little rest stop in County Kerry, Ireland where a group of local people were selling arts and crafts and showing off their animals. The dog napping on the donkey's back was the star of this little group. He woke up just as we were about to leave.

Linking to Saturday's Critters.

Wow, totally splendid pictures! The little dog looks so peaceful on the donkey. They must be great friends. The green hills are gorgeous, really the Emerald Isle! Especially picture #5. Beauty everywhere. Even the goat is smiling!

The dog and donkey seem to make quite a pair, which surprises me. We had a dog around who really disliked donkeys, who were often in the field behind our property. They seemed to enjoy walking up to the fence and staring at him.

I remember a stop we made on our bus tour where I petted a tiny donkey...maybe it was the same place! Love the dog on the donkey's back! Too adorable! Sweet critters, and some gorgeous landscape behind them! Loved County Kerry!

Nice shots. I wonder if you came upon a group of gypsies. This looks a little like the sort of scene I'd expect.
