I took these photos of my daughter and two oldest grandkids as they were watching the sun go down over the ocean at Stinson Beach in California, which is just north of San Francisco, while we were on vacation about 3 months ago.

How gorgeous! All different shades and textures of blue! Heaven on earth.
There are subtle differences between the two shots, and I think the 2nd is most artistic because of the small rivulet which is, obviously, draining the ocean! Another testimony to your artistic skills, Lois!

Wow! A tranquil moment
Really interesting images. I wondered upon how similar in some ways they were to our skies earlier this week. January was especially mild in the UK though and guess Cal.coastal area is mostly nicer skies than ours here and I really must brush up on my US geography knowledge cos I realise I have no idea much at all.

That's what I love about the Pacific side of North America...sunset! (Probably because I'm seldom awake to see the sunrise as you would in Florida!)
