Another photo from my archives, this was taken last summer when my daughter and I visited Wilanów Palace in Warsaw, Poland. One of Poland's official national monuments, the Palace was built in the 17th century for King John III Sobieski, whose statue is seen in this picture.

Ah, a crown of laurel leaves...the symbolism has kind of gotten lost through the centuries.
