Beach Ball
The plaque under this piece of art reads "MIAMI BEACH BALL by Romero Britto, a gift to the City of Tallahassee by Miami-Dade County Days, April 7, 2005". It sits downtown near the State Capitol.
Update on my blog break: I will probably be posting sporadically for a few weeks as I am unable to get out to take photos. Unfortunately last week I fell and fractured the bone (tibia) just below my right knee. I'm pretty much immobilized right now, so my laptop has become my best friend and I will have to make do with photos in my archives.

...good to see you back, I hope all is well with you.
I am sooo sorry to hear this! This is not what you need! I hope that you heal quickly and well so you can get out and play with your grandkids again.
Love this pic. Did you show this or something like it previously? I remember thinking it is kind of a slap in the face, you know, "We've got beaches and sand and you don't!" But I'm probably all wrong in that assumption.
I'm not on Facebook so I'll just have to follow you here. And I'm sure you have many great photos in your archives.
Best wishes. If you were an actress, I'd say, "Break your leg," but that would not be appropriate in this situation! :))
so sorry about your knee, love this photo and archives are great to me. i do that sometimes because most of us have not seen them or have forgotten we did. i sent you an FB request just now.
Very colourful! I hope your recovery time goes smoothly.
cute ball
It is a fun playful piece!
Sorry to learn of your injury & hope you heal quickly!
Oh that's no fun at all! Yes, I just requested you to be my FB friend. Beware, I post some strange things! But I'm willing to let you see them! You may chuckle at them after all, and you need to keep your spirits up to heal quickly! I hope you have lots of photos in your files to keep posting for a while!
Oh NO! I am so sorry. I broke my leg years ago. The immobility was more annoying than the break. I hope you are not having pain! Can you get around with crutches? Or a wheelchair? How did you fall? Maybe another post with details? I love this beach ball art, it makes me think of summer and beaches. It is so brilliant and cool. I will look you up on Facebook.
I just sent you a friend request. Are those beautiful children on your page your children?
Oh Lois! That is a bummer! I hope you aren't in too much pain. Looking forward to your posts when you feel up to it!
Talk about bad luck, I hope your recovery goes well and you have a speedy recovery. Until then, no beach ball for you. :)
Love this photograph.
So sorry to read about your fall.
Sending positive thoughts and good wishes for a speedy recovery.
All the best Jan
Oh, dear! You're having quite a year, aren't you? I hope you heal quickly and put this behind you. (This looks like a fun sculpture.) I'd friend you on Facebook but I post so little I'd provide you no diversion. I feel very strongly about political issues these days and have already lost one family member over my opinions so I keep my Facebook mouth shut.
Oh no Lois, so sorry to hear you are hurt! Please just try to rest as much as you can so you can heal up! Hope you are feeling better real soon!
Gosto muito desta bela escultura.
Um abraço e boa semana.

So sorry to hear you are hurt. Whish you all the best Lois. I have sent you a Facebook message from Marianne Veen.
Praying that you get better soon.
God bless you.
Oh Lois, I'm so sorry to hear about the accident. I hope it heals quickly. Archive photos will do just fine. I'll tell you a little secret, I've been using archived photos for the last week. I had one very nasty cold that I'm still fighting. I haven't been out much either.
Hello again! Wow the art is lovely but your sky and all those clouds are just gorgeous! Do take good care and blog when you can!
what a great beachball...love how colorful it is! you take care lois...rest that leg!!
Don't try and get back on your feet too soon Lois, believe me I know it's difficult to be patient but definitely worth it. I bet you have stacks of fab pics in your photo file ☺
Oh no!!! Too late to say "be careful'. I hope you heal fast fast fast
