October Theme Day: Rock and Roll

Nothing says Rock and Roll to me like The Beatles. Here is a photo of my very first Beatles album which I received for my birthday when I was a pre-teenager back in the 60's. I was so proud of it that I wrote my name up there on the top. The second photo of Abbey Road Studios is a cell phone shot I took early one evening when I was in London a few years ago.

The first day of the month is Theme Day in the City Daily Photo community. This month's theme is Rock and Roll. To see other participants' take on the theme, visit the CDP Theme Day gallery here.

Both pictures are great. Loved the Beatles too. I went to Liverpool with an exchange program of school when I was 16 in 1963. I walked along the house of Paul Mc Cartney and picked some leaves of his hedge and put them in a paperback! I kept them for ages :)

Ah yes, that is a classic album! Of course Abbey Road is a must see in London. I visit the Abbey Road webcam on a regular basis. It's always a hoot watching the people trying to get pictures in the crosswalk.

I like those window box flowers. my time was before the beetles, but of course I heard them. I was more the old time rock n roll from the 50's.

We watched the Ed Sullivan show when the Beatles first arrived in the US. I thought they stank to high heaven! And that they looked about as goofy as people could look and that they'd never get anywhere! Whew, was I wrong!

This is a super post for the theme. I especially like the 2nd shot of their studio.

The Beatles became popular a bit after the time I still listened to the radio much -- mostly while in the cars of others. I never got caught up much into popular culture. I was the one always curled up somewhere with a book.

I still have all of my old Beatles albums too! I should sell them.

How nice to see that album again! I think I loved mine to pieces. And the photo pairs well with the shot of Abbey Road. Nice choices for today's theme.

Of course, the Beatles. The start of the British Invasion. Great choice for the theme.

A great album and perfect for the theme. I had this LP too but didn't sign it.:) It is fantastic that you still have it. All I have today is tons of music files and they are no match to having the physical album that you can hold and see.
