Forget the theme parks, this is what the real Florida looks like (at least to me) and I'm thankful for it. I took this picture while on a boat cruising down the Wakulla River, just south of town. The river is fed by one of the largest and deepest fresh water springs in the world,
Wakulla Springs.

A wonderful scenery, Lois. Lots of green and blue!
Enjoyed reading about the ancient mastodons. :-)
It's wonderful! Looks a lot like our Silver Springs and our Silver River. I agree about the theme parks. They've really messed up the state.
Very pretty place.
I am with you on forget the theme parks. I love this, so beautiful, it's the little things that matter, beaches and swamps are at the top of my list
Beautiful! Peaceful!
Have a great day!
Beautiful place and lovely shot ~ thanks ~ so serene ^_^
Happy Day to you ~ ^_^
That is exactly how I remember the countryside of Florida. Very beautiful.
It looks quite peaceful.
Beautiful pic. Love the peacefulness.
Yes! I am thankful for real places like this, too! It is beautiful.
That's what we enjoy most here in Florida too! We'll probably hike along the Rainbow River this weekend! Hope we get some rain tonight! Hugs, Diane
We often forget the nature side of things
My parents live in Florida and have a park, similar in looks, to this one. I always enjoy visiting there. Thanks for linking up this week and hope to see you back again next week!
Old Florida is so different! After being here so many years (from Michigan), I've grown to love the swamps, cypress trees and blue sky here. Lovely pic!
I'm with you on this Lois, I'm not a fan of the theme parks. Nature is so much more appealing. Super image here.
Yep. It is this Florida that has kept us coming back for 10 years. If we'd just seen Orlando or Miami or even Fort Myers Beach, we would have said 'interesting, glad we saw it' but we wouldn't have fallen in love with the State like we did because of scenes like this one.
