Swamp

This swampy area is located not too far from my house. I took the photo while walking on an elevated boardwalk next to the side of the road. I always enjoy seeing cypress trees growing in the water. This being Florida though, I don't even want to think about what else might be lurking down there.

the lurkers might include snakes, frogs or gators or all three, but I am with you. it is beautiful and I love wandering through these wonderful trees as long as I am on a boardwalk.

No point in sticking your toes in the water. But these are fun places. Silver Springs Park has built a brand new, long, boardwalk over an area that used to be the mini-zoo. It's really nice and I'll be posting a photo of it soon.

It makes a lovely picture. I'm with you on the lurking creatures. Best not to investigate further.

I imagine the gators might be keeping an eye on any passersby.

I love how the boardwalks let you get into these areas!

Nice image Lois. I think I would pass on a walk through that area. Snakes and gators make me nervous.

I used to canoe a lot in a swamp filled with cypress trees and "knees".
