Sandhill cranes on the golf course

I spent some of the holidays visiting my daughter and two oldest grandchildren and had a wonderful time. My daughter's house is located in a planned community south of Orlando which includes a golf course. I took these photos late one afternoon while driving through her neighborhood. Can you see the golf balls on the ground in some of the photos?

Linking to Saturday's Critters, Camera Critters, and the Bird D'Pot.

Hello Lois,

I always enjoy seeing these Cranes. They are silly birds walking around on the golf course. I hope they are not hit with the balls.

Thank you for linking up and sharing your post. Happy Saturday, enjoy your weekend!

Love the sandhill cranes! Unfortunately, because they like to hang out at golf courses, many are injured by flying balls. There's a bird rehab center here in Sarasota that takes care of many such injuries. Happy 2017!

Yes, I can see the balls. They're big birds!

Beautiful birds, but I don't suppose they make a game of golf very easy.

the first one looks like he is yelling 'fore' to me. I wonder if they get hit by those balls. they are beautiful birds.

The only thing I ever ran across on the golf course were little bugs that ate my leg up

Yes, either they are golf balls or the cranes are laying lots of eggs!

Methinks I would like this planned community. Is it a 55+ place. We often see sandhill cranes here, too, on our golf courses. Sometimes they are unafraid and you can get fairly close to them. These are beautiful shots of these beautiful birds.
