January 2017 Theme Day: Photo of the Year
It was a hard decision, but after going through all of my posts for 2016, I decided this one of two ibises standing on my neighbor's fence was my favorite. I still think they look like they are having some sort of discussion.
The first day of the month is Theme Day in the City Daily Photo community and as always on the first day of the new year, we get to pick our favorite photos from the past year. Visit the CDP Theme Day gallery here to see other members' favorite photos.

Love these images! You're right. It seems like they are in conference about something or other. So cute. Happy New Year, Lois! Here's to more great pictures in 2017!!!
No birds quite like that here
Cute fellas, Lois.
Haha! Whatever they were discussing seems to be private Lois ☺ Super choice for the theme. All the very best for the new year, with those gorgeous grandchildren of yours how could it be anything but a wonderful year!
Acrobats of the avian world. Well done. Happy New Year.
They have much better balance than me. If I stood on a fence the last thing I would do is hold a discussion (smile)
Seems to me they were a bit rude to turn their backs on you, or maybe they were just camera shy. Either way, they are great shots.
I love the picture too...they really do look like they are discussing something real important!! HAPPY NEW YEAR!!
Um abraço e Bom Ano.

Sweet photo of the two chatting. A Happy New Year to you Lois.
Cute fiends Lois! HNY!
I love the foot of the one on the left, the way he is holding on with one claw and they do look like they are talking. the second one, I thought Don't Jump... LOL I hope you are ok from the storm that hit the panhandle yesterday
This is one bird I don't ever see here in the west so they are looking quite exotic to me.
They do seem to be having a chat!
Very well done, Lois! I like these birds a lot. Once we had a whole "flock" of them invade our property and while they didn't do any damage, they did keep an eye on us for a couple of days by sitting in our various oak trees. Then they were gone. Crazy.
Good choice for the theme, Lois! Happy New year!
Wha'? Bird butts? :-)
They look like they're concentrating to stand on the fence post. Nice one!
they play golf or they only eat the balls ?
