Geese at school
On weekdays I take my youngest grandson to school in the morning and pick him up in the afternoon. This week he and I enjoyed seeing a small flock of geese that were hanging around his school for a several days. I took the first picture from inside the school grounds while we were watching them from the car. I took the second picture from the street on the other side of the fence as we were leaving to go home. The two in the back on the right are on the other side of the fence.

They look very at ease to visit the school.
It seems a bit awkward to see them in a place like that, but they seem happy!
they are a rare sight here. I have seen them only twice in 27 years. and that was last year..
Being from Canada, these geese are probably pretty smart, but maybe they're just involved in a continuing education program? Perhaps they could learn to poop where people don't walk? :) Thanks for your comment on Ocala and the name of those ducks. Much appreciated. I've seen them before but never knew their name.
I wonder if someone has been feeding them there.
I wonder if they're locals, or if they live up in my parts in summer.
Wonderful photos of the geese ~ maybe someone was feeding them nearby ~
Wishing you days of contentment ~ ^_^
At school to learn some new tricks?
Nice pics of the geese and especially with your grandson on the way to school.
Hello, it is nice your grandson enjoyed seeing the geese. Maybe he will be a future birder. They are cute, great shots. Thank you for linking up and sharing your post. Happy weekend to you!
Cute geese
I've seen these lovely birds only once, when I visited Canada years ago. I took dozens of photos but never once got as close as you did. Obviously I was in the wrong place!
Neat! Wonder what they are studying.
Awesome!!! And the two on the 'other side' of the fence look to be a bit amorous with how they're poised so close together.
Lovin' this post and photos.
I thank you for sharing this post with all of us birders at I'd Rather B Birdin' this weekend!!!
Cool, at least they're not skipping school. :)
Beautiful birds!
Have a blessed day!
Canada Geese seem to be everywhere -- these ones are smart snowbirds -- they know a good place to spend the winter!
I wonder if they're attracted by the sounds of the children playing Lois?
"Enjoying" Canada geese? They are poop machines!!!
