Enjoying the lake

Zooming in on a few Cormorants enjoying an autumn afternoon on another one of the little floating barges in the middle of Lake Ella.

Looks like the fellow on the left is being given the cold shoulder/wing Lois ☺ the floating islands are such a good idea!

It's cute that they are hanging out like that. Reminds me of guys standing on the corner.

I love the idea of the 'floating' islands!! And it really doesn't surprise me that the cormorants make use of them. They're such a 'fun loving' bird...always active, always having their kind of fun in the water from 'floating' to diving and just playing. Love this photo Lois!!

Have a blessed week ahead, and thanks for sharing your link at I'd Rather B Birdin'!

Those floating barges are great for the critters. I've not seen such before. Great photo, too, and shows sharply the difference between the cormorant and the anhinga.

Cormorants pretty much dominate our Potomac River, too.
