College Town
In addition to being the state Capital of Florida, Tallahassee is also the home of two state universities and a big community college, so it can most definitely be called a college town. I took this picture from the top floor of one of the parking garages on the Florida State University campus near the football stadium. CollegeTown is a mixed used development of luxury student housing, restaurants and retail stores located in the Gaines Street entertainment district between FSU and Florida A&M University. The area where it is located used to be quite run down and blighted, but has recovered nicely in the last few years.

Hello, it looks nice. I am glad the area has recovered and is doing well. Happy Monday, enjoy your day and week ahead!
You had a nice overview on the area!
Um belo edifício.
Um abraço e boa semana.

A nice view from the parking garage. The town looks rather nice and with students going to school in the area, it helps the community too.
it sure looks nice now. that is a lot of college to be in one town and I did not know this fact
I live in a college town. One community college and I think 3 regular colleges
I look back on my college years and I can't help thinking that "luxury student housing" sounds a bit like an oxymoron.
Luxury student housing? Didn't have that in my day, it was always basic or worse!
I like that and I think Ocala should copy the idea. We're trying but our politicos are a bunch of morons.
I like the look of this complex.
So with such a high percentage of students I'm guessing Tallahassee is a pretty cool place Lois!
