We stopped in Interlaken, Switzerland one day during our trip for a mid-morning snack and enjoyed watching these paragliders in the park next door.
It is hard to see it because of the way the morning sun was hitting the snow, but that mountain in the middle is The Jungfrau, one of the main summits of the Bernese Alps at 13,642 feet.
My view as I left the restaurant where we had some delicious pastries.
This is where we ate, the Grand Café Restaurant Schuh. We were told by our guide that they have the best pastries in Switzerland and I believe it.
You didn't think I was going to end this post without showing a picture of my pastries did you? A chocolate eclair and vanilla cremeschnitte.

Great view of those paragliders, I liked how you composed the photo. The pastries look awesome!
Those pastries look delicious Lois. Paragliding has become a very popular sport in the mountains I see.
It seems to me that the light in Switzerland is clearer and sharper or maybe it's just your photography skills. These are all beautiful the last one is yummy
Hello, pretty scenes from Switzerland. The paragliding shots are awesome! Happy Friday, enjoy your weekend!
Lovely to see the gliders!
The pastries look delicious, and very prettily presented, too.
I don't know which give me more pleasure, the sight of the gliders or the beautiful pastries!
That's a great way to see the terrain.
Those pastries look way, way, way too delicious!
Again, your photos are superb. I cannot imagine paragliding myself but I would guess it's a fun "sport" (if you have no nerves! :)) But the pastry: Now, where am I going to find pastry like this in Ocala. And after seeing your photo, I must have it! You see the dilemma you've left me in (or in which you've left me)? Heh, heh.
What a trip, Lois! Visual & taste delights!
Beautiful skywatch post! Paragliding looks like fun, but I prefer to be a spectator.
Brilliant photos, Lois!
I like the way you caught the light on the first 3 photos. I am trying not to look at the pastries.
While that looks fun, you'd never see me up in the air. At least with a clean pair of pants
Gorgeous scenery but, wow those pastries look fantastic.
We were in this same spot in April! What a coincidence. We watched those gliders for a long time and I was so glad to be on the ground watching and not on one of those things doing their loop de loos. Looks like you had a great time
