July Theme Day: Look Down

I'm taking a break from my blog break to participate in this month's theme with a few pictures from my vacation in southern California last week with my two oldest grandkids and my daughter. The first picture is the view looking down at Los Angeles from the Griffith Observatory located on the southern slope of Mount Hollywood in Griffith Park. I think the hazy views were due to wildfires burning in nearby areas. The second shot shows my oldest grandson on the right looking down at the Pacific Ocean from the pier at Venice Beach. The third picture was taken looking down at the plaque at the base of the flag pole just inside the entrance to Disneyland in Anaheim. We had a wonderful time, but I must admit it felt a little strange visiting a different Disney park, since these kids live only about 20 minutes from Disney World in Orlando. I will probably be posting sporadically for the next month or so because all of my grandkids will be staying with me throughout the rest of the summer.

The first day of the month is Theme Day in the City Daily Photo community and this month's theme is "Looking Down". To see other interpretations of the theme, be sure to visit the CDP Theme Day gallery here.
