Poppies
Poppies were blooming practically everywhere we went last week in Italy. The first picture shows a couple of blooms one of our fellow travelers picked while we were stopped at a rest stop on our way to Assisi. I took the second shot while we were walking around the Forum in Rome. Unfortunately, those poppies in the Forum would not be still no matter how hard I tried to get a good picture. They were too busy dancing around in the wind!

Dancing poppies! so bright and pretty!
Those are pretty poppies!
That is the symbol of WWI The fields were full of poppies during the fights. I like this flower that flourishes here too.
Nice shot with "the hand". :-)
So happy you got to go to Italy. I'm going to see what you've posted about the trip!

Hello from Tampa Bay - beautiful flowers
Very perky, peppy, purdy poppies! I saw an Italian blog yesterday which featured the poppies in another region - they are truly beautiful...
Poppies make me smile, I love them!
I went to Italy in mid-May and also saw a lot of poppies everywhere I looked. They were especially beautiful in the fields in Tuscany.
What a nice find!
They are pretty. I know they grow on top of the War Museum here, but that's the only place I've seen them in these parts.
I love to see flowers dancing in the wind!
Have a great week-end!
Poppies in the field are very attractive. Vivid colour!
In Flanders fields the poppies blow.
They are so beautiful! I have always been fascinated by their delicate beauty!
Lovely shots! The bright red is delightful.
So vivid and colorful. Wonderful to visit your blog.
