Palm trees and a stone wall
When I was photographing the two murals I posted on Monday, I noticed this stone wall right next to the railroad overpass. Just on the other side of it is Cascades Park, a beautiful place that has been featured many times on my blog (just click on the Cascades Park label below this post to see all the pictures I have posted of this beautiful downtown park). The railroad tracks run right past the park to the overpass where the murals are located. Whenever I visit the park with my grandkids, they get so excited when they see the trains passing by.
I'm calling this wall a fence today since it separates the park from a busy street and linking to Good Fences.

I like those stone walls.
Hello, I love the rock wall and palm trees? The sky is pretty too, great capture. Wishing you a happy day and weekend ahead!
Pretty!
Have a wonderful day!
That wall certainly is a very sturdy fence. Of course you are familiar with Frost's poem, "The Mending Wall" which is a perfect match for this wall you photographed!
really nice wall! thanks, lois!
The palms are doing a good job of hiding the (wall) fence Lois :)
pretty wall and i get excited when i see a train too! one goes by my house, i can't see it from here but i can hear it!
That is quite a high wall.
that certainly is a solid stone wall
I can tell a LOT of stones were needed for such a long and high wall! It is a very nice piece of masonry!
That is a beautiful wall/fence and I love the way it's lined with those palm trees.
That's a beautiful stone wall.
A wall is a fence and we will call your stonewall~~~Jackson. LOL

That's a lovely rock wall/fence. They really have landscaped it well.
I love all stone walls including this "fence." It looks very much like a big wall on one of our golf courses...a wall I've hit with my golf ball on a few occasions! Pretty shot, Lois.
It's a fine wall, Lois! Kids do love to see a train.
Works just fine for good fence/wall.
Terrific stone wall, it makes a perfect fence and is easier on the eye than a lot of other fences.
