White Squirrel
This little critter was running around in my yard earlier this week and by the time I got outside with my camera, I only managed to get two pictures before it ran into the woods. I know there are several white squirrels living in my neighborhood and it is always a treat to see them. This is NOT an albino, but a white version of the eastern gray squirrel. If it were an albino, it would have red eyes and this one does not.

I didn't know there are also white squirrels... nice !
Very rare I suppose, a white one, nice captured.
An albino squirrel occasionally visits our yard, but is always alone, shunned by other squirrels. Even though I dislike these pesky critters, I'm glad that these have companions.
What a devious little rascal!
Muito lindo!
nunca vi esquilo branco
Hello, the white squirrel is pretty. I have never seen one!
So glad you got some shots before it ran away.
Thank you for linking up and sharing your post. Happy Saturday, enjoy your weekend!
How very interesting, Lois. I have not seen any of these down here. We have fox squirrels which are rather pretty, but no white ones. Lucky you!
We have them here downtown in Toronto but they are wary of people so to see one is a real treat! Great shots of this guy, Lois!
How neat! We have them in NC but I've never seen one here in Florida! I've seen the fox squirrel and it's fun to spot. Enjoy your weekend! Hugs, Diane

I don't think I've ever seen a white, none-albino, squirrel. Now I have. :-)
Might be a whole new breed starting up. He looks very cute an fluffy
Very cute!
Wow, amazing! I look at a blog from England where the man got his white squirrel picture on a TV nature program and in some magazines.
O nice one. O ,that's nice! Exciting. It's not an albino, you're right!
How beautiful! What a nice encounter!
