Spring Flowers and a Butterfly

I think a few of the people visiting the old Florida Capitol thought it was amusing to watch me follow this butterfly around on the front lawn trying to get a couple of good pictures. Once I'm determined to get a blog picture though, I don't pay much attention to what anyone else thinks!

Great job, Lois. I was chasing a butterfly not too long ago, but never caught it with my camera of any other way. I think it flew off to Tallahassee!

Beautiful pic to start my day, Lois!! I do love the butterfly and the colors are SO lovely!! Thanks for sharing such warm spring photos! They do lighten up another gray, grim, wet day in Oregon!! I hope you have a lovely weekend!!

Though I'm not quite ready for spring yet, I have to admit this is wonderfully cheery!

You are a woman after my own heart -- there are people here in our park who can't believe I take pictures of sky and bugs etc etc.... some people just don't appreciate a determined photographer ;>)

Your persistence definitely paid off here -- that is a beautiful butterfly, just perfect against the yellow pansies. And also, I'm a bit envious of the pansies themselves -- we don't seem to have any of them growing (in the g round) around here -- I have seen a few pots of them in some places, but I am guessing it might be too hot here for them, like it is for most spring flowers.
