More from the Old Capitol
When you walk in the front door of the Florida's historic old Capitol, the first thing you see are the stairs. I kind of like the way they looked from the second floor balcony too. The third picture shows what the dome looks like from the inside with the late afternoon sun shining in. You can read a little more about the history of this beautiful place on the sign in the last shot or just enjoy looking at that Spanish moss hanging from the old live oak tree in the background.

Hello, the stairs and dome are beautiful! The oak tree and spanish moss are lovely. Have a happy day!
A very impressive building! I love the dome.
The dome is my favourite among these.
Thank you for these great photos. I've seen lots of pictures of the exterior of this building but never any of the interior so I really appreciated your efforts! Looks so calm and peaceful, and so unlike the folks that inhabit the new building!
Dizzying effect. Love the dome window.

A beautiful old building, Lois!
Love your angle in the second shot!!! And what a beautiful cupola!
How COULD they have even thought of tearing this down?
