March Theme Day: Where Do I Belong?

I have lived in Florida all my life. I grew up in a beach town just blocks from the Atlantic Ocean and could walk to the beach any time I wanted to. It wasn't as touristy as some other areas of the state, but still pretty typical of what people think of when they think of the Sunshine State. When I left home to attend Florida State University in Tallahassee, I discovered what some people call the "other Florida", a place with a slower pace, rolling hills, lots of trees and not as many tourists. After I graduated from college, I decided to stay because I liked it so much. I've been here ever since. I am now retired and would not want to live anywhere else. It is where I belong.

The first day of the month is Theme Day in the City Daily Photo Community. To see other members' interpretations of this month's theme, be sure and visit the CDP Theme Day gallery.

Nice, Lois! North Florida has some distinct advantages. The area around Tallahassee is quite special, and I'm so glad that you have found happiness where you are, and for your wonderful photos of your "home."

I was in Florida as a child- Disney and a few other tourist spots. I'd love to return and see some of the quiet. Lovely shots, Lois!

Is anything much more atmospheric than Spanish moss?
