I spent some time this past weekend wandering around a few park trails in the woods, which is where I found these old fences. That is part of an old palm tree trunk on the ground in the second picture and I found it just past the fence in the first shot. The old fence in the last photo seems to have been taken over by some thick vines and Spanish moss. Those are azaleas blooming on the bush next to it.
Linking to Good Fences.
Umas belas fotografias.
Um abraço e continuação de uma boa semana.
Well spotted Lois. I didn't think azaleas grew in the wild like this, they always seem pretty delicate.
The fence doesn't look so studdy, nice to see the flowers blooming already.
Hello, it looks like the fence is taken over with all the plant growth and roots. I love the azaleas. Have a happy day!
What an interesting woods! I'm glad you identified the object in the second photo. I wouldn't find those in my woods.
There are some golf courses in our area built in wooded areas where I've found fences. In some cases they were cattle fences.
In response to your question: Moi! :)
i like how nature is reclaiming them. :)
Very pretty scenes. I bet the walk was especially tranquil and enjoyable.
Nice finds and I like the sweet sprinkling of azalea blooms!
Hello Lois!:) I like the rustic fence you found, and recognized the Azalia. It looks great near the fence, nice find!:)
I guess this fence isn't really needed anymore!
The fences that pop up in the woods always interest Buddy and me. Some are new and some old and in poor condition, but the wood is always so pretty. Looks like you had a nice walk.
I just adore fencing like this, where nature shines through with just a hint of fence! Pretty area.
That really is an old looking fence.
think it is always interesting to see spanish moss hanging from trees, we never have that in Virginia. really adds character to the area. ( :
You do see these in the woods here to denote property lines, though inevitably there end up gaps along the lines, so wildlife has no problem moving through.
I like the rustic fence and nice to see the flowers blooming already.
Not so good for what I see, but I like the trail...
The fences seem to have seen better days in places but how pretty to have wild azaleas blooming next to them.
Nice fenches !!
At first I thought that was a gigantic pine cone!!!
Lovely spring photos and surprising fence but I like it!
It is nice to see flowers by the old fence!
Nice bunch of images. Never know what you will find when you head out on a trail. Flowers are a nice addition to the old fence.
Blooming azaleas. Wow!
What neat photos. We love getting out on the trails and we've seen redbuds and azaleas blooming this week! Enjoy the nice weather. Hugs, Diane
I like the rustic look of these fences and beautiful Azaleas.
What great fence finds in the woods and some pretty flowers too. Lovely photos. Have a nice weekend ahead.
