Downtown Property

This old building sits on a valuable corner of downtown property located directly across from the Florida Capitol complex. It was built in 1930 and as you can see, one of the signs on the side of it reads "Seminole Tribe of Florida". I did a little research and found out that the Seminole Tribe not only owns the building, but several of the other lots right next to it. The only information I could find about the property, which is currently vacant, stated that at one time there were plans for a hotel, restaurant and meeting facilities to be built on the site, but those plans have been tabled for now. It will be interesting to see what happens.

Linking to signs, signs.

Maybe the Seminoles will put in a casino ... if they grease the right palms on the Republican side of the legislature! :)

It is a nice looking building. I can see a nice restaurant on that ground floor.

A curious story...

It seems very spacious, would be perfect for a hotel I think.

It's a lovely building, I hope they manage to make something of it. A cultural centre with a restaurant would be cool!

Those are lovely lights on its walls, Lois! It would make a great restaurant.

It looks like a rather noble building. The tribes here in Oklahoma have bought a lot of property and I have to say they are doing a good job developing it into other things besides casinos (they already have a bunch of casinos)
