A Walk in the Park

Some pictures from one of my walks last weekend at San Luis Mission Park. The bird in the first two shots is a Yellow-rumped Warbler. That's a Robin in the third shot. I'm pretty sure that's a Red Eared Slider turtle in the last photo going after some some bread that had been thrown in the water. That yellow stuff in the water is pollen, which is why I haven't been able to stop sneezing this week!

The robins here haven't shown up in the city yet, but out in the countryside I've heard from others that they're out there.

It is so hard to get pics of warblers - they never seem to stay still!

Great walk Lois. I saw my first Florida robins ever recently. I'd thought they must not migrate this far south .. They're really common in Oregon.

So, so cool!!! The Butter Butt [yellow rumped warbler], the robin...signs of Spring. It's in the air.

And that turtle image, such clarity. Wonderful. I'm enjoying the walk in the park with you Lois.

Thanks for sharing this weekend, at I'd Rather B Birdin'. All of us, the birders within us, appreciate you taking time to add your link!!

Lovely photos, Lois. I especially like the robin. We don't seem to have very many robins down here.
