I noticed this painted on a window next to the front door of a place called
The Plant, which is located in a revitalized area of town between Florida State University and Florida A&M University near downtown. According to their
Facebook page,
The Plant is a "Center For Arts And Exploration" and hosts various art related events from time to time. I didn't have time to go inside, but I'll definitely have to go back.

Hello, I guess it is true. Too much television for the kiddies is especially dangerous. Great mural.
Happy Monday, have a great new week ahead!
I agree with the sentiment expressed. TV has become comprised mostly of violence and sex without meaning and horror movies. It's such a great medium but the crap produced is almost without fail addressed to 12-year old boys who think watching people vomit is fun!
The Plant sounds like a good place for young and old alike!
Yes, I agree. You should check this place out.
Rather garish! It does catch your eye.
Good one, Lois!
A colorful warning.
A funny message!
Most of it...
it's true but internet also
Love the mural and yes it can be dangerous and boring. We don't have tv gave it up 7 years ago and don't miss it. We listen to the radio though :)
In 1960's there was a journalist that said television is a machine to make lunatics
I'd love to know the reasons why the artist thinks television is dangerous! :)
Certainly a strong image, if that's what the artist was going for.
Hmmm. I remember seeing bumper stickers a few years ago that said 'kill your television'... probably up in hippieville (Eugene) Oregon. But I have to agree with your sign -- too much of a good thing can hurt you.
That is eye-catching and an effective way to attract people to see what else they have.
I seldom watch TV. I prefer books.
When your TV is wielding a hammer, look out. Thanks for contributing to this week's Monday Mural.
A lot of it certainly is! Cool mural Lois!
