Robin
I was looking out my kitchen window the other day and saw what I thought was my first robin of the year. It was hopping around at the far edge of my rather large back yard, so I had to get my binoculars out to make sure. I got my camera and zoomed in on it, thinking I would only get those shots on the ground. Then about 15 minutes later, when I was eating lunch, I looked up and there it was standing on my birdbath. Luckily my camera was still handy and I was able to get the last two shots before it flew away. These pictures were all taken through a double paned glass window, so I was surprised when I saw that they turned out this clear.

Oh it's adorable, gosh you can see why they're called 'red robins', that's a lovely chest colour. Your windows must be really, really clean :) excellent images.
Wonderfully clear photo, the Robin is so different from ours looks a lot larger too. I hope it has a nice song.
Excellent photos Lois! What a joy to see him so close by.
Those are great photos of such an attractive bird. Wouldn't even know that they were taken through a double pane window.
spring is on the way and great job through the glass photography..
i just relized i have commented on half a dozen blogs and there are none there. will try again. love your first round of robins which means spring is on the way..
I rarely see robins in Sarasota. I used to love seeing them in Michigan -- a sure sign of spring!
These are fantastic shots, Lois. I haven't seen a robin here yet. In fact, I've never seen very many robins here. But you captured this one in all its glory!
Sweet Robin you are indeed!
Beautiful robins!
I always think that Robins look so very intelligent
Terrific captures of a beautiful bird, Lois!! The are one of my favorites!! Thanks for sharing the beauty!! Enjoy your weekend -- you and the robins!!!
Really great close-ups! It's a lot bigger than the European robin we have!
Good shots of the American Robin. Have a lovely weekend.
Hello Mr. Robin ! :)
Nice pics, Lois !
I saw the first ones I've ever seen in Florida last week on my evening walk. I honestly thought they didn't migrate this far. Of course they are very common in Oregon , but I've missed them here!
Some really great shots! Brava!
The bird seems quite curious!
Up here robins tend to be more common out in the countryside.
Harbinger of Spring!
I've actually seen a few up here already this year!
Ohhhhhhhhh, magnificent. Spring has arrived!!!
Oh wow! The robins are returning!
I've been watching them on my late afternoon walks. They've been VERY active.
It's always special to see the first Robin of Spring.
Nice shots! I shoot through double-panes all the time. It just depends on how the light is shining.
ps...Sorry I'm late getting around to thank you this weekend. I was gone nearly all yesterday afternoon....birding, of course!! Thanks for joining in at I'd Rather B Birdin' by adding your valued link of your fantastic post!!
Hello!:) I love your American Robins, and your captures are lovely.:)
I do miss seeing these friendly birds. We don't see many of them in Arizona. Where I grew up in Illinois, there were plenty.
Hello, cute series on the Robin! They are pretty birds! Thank you for linking up and sharing your post. Happy Sunday, enjoy your new week!
So pretty!
American robins are cute but for cuteness overload you can't beat the European ones. You got some really nice shots!
