Photos from Florida's Capital City (and occasionally a few from other interesting places I have been fortunate enough to visit in my travels!)

I am continuing today (and probably the rest of the week) with more pictures of my weekend walk around the new park that recently opened near where I live. The first picture shows that the land for this park was acquired using funds provided by the Florida Communities Trust using Florida Forever Funds, a state conservation and lands acquisition program. You can read more about Florida Forever here. Those two guys in the last three pictures passed me as I was starting up the first trail and I got to enjoy a little music while walking behind them. They eventually got way ahead of me though because I tend to walk slow and also stop a lot to take pictures. I had to zoom in to get that last shot as they disappeared over the hill.

Excelente trabalho e belas fotografias.
Um abraço e continuação de uma boa semana.
It's nice that you have a nice new trail to experience. Just think of all those photo opportunities :)
Hello, it is always nice to hear of new parks and trails. The music is an added bonus on your walk. Happy Wednesday, enjoy your day!
well that's neat...i've never seen people hiking while playing an instrument!
Oh I love that Lois, playing the, looks like a yukalaylee, while strolling through the tall trees, too cool!
Looks like a really nice place. Is that a stringed instrument he was playing? That's rather strange, but fun!
Looks like they wanted a little live music to go with their walk.
A new park is always welcome! Glad they used the money for something that benefits people.
A guitar in a park is something unusual!
How nice surprise to hear the music in the jogging track.
Ah, a fun day in the park indeed!! And a beautiful park it is!! Fun shots for the day, too, Lois!! Thanks for sharing the fun and the beauty as always!! I hope your week is going well!!
Quite strange, but clearly picture-worthy!
It looks like a fine day for a stroll, Lois!
Cool way to walk!
How delightful that you could have music on your walk ~ great shots!
Happy Week to you ~ ^_^
Thank God for parks, Lois. I don't know what I would do without them.
I never see the phrase "Happy Trails" without thinking of the Roy Rogers' song. Looks like a great park.
...and happy trails to you
Wanderings minstrels!! How lovely.
Good for Florida. I don't love it when people 'share' their music with me while I'm walking. But I guess it helps them enjoy nature maybe. It really looks like a great new park.
