Good fence in a swamp
When a road has no shoulders to build a sidewalk on and sits next to a swamp, this is what happens. You get a nice elevated boardwalk to walk on with some interesting views. The new park I was walking to is at the end of this boardwalk. I'm sure there are some critters down there in that water that it would be better to keep a distance from, but I didn't see any on this particular day. Look hard at the last picture and you will see a wire fence running from that post in the bottom right corner of the picture into the swamp. I think it is just there to mark a property line.

Um abraço e continuação de uma boa semana.
There is something special about those elevated platforms. Love all the lines and shadows on yours. :)
Hi! The walkway looks well made and sturdy, just as well, with all those gators below!!
Walking over a boardwalk is so nice to watch nature around you.
My but that's quite a stretch of boardwalk! Thanks for sharing the views in the swamp too! Really interesting!
Hello, I like the boardwalk. And yes it would protection from the gators below. Happy Thursday, enjoy your day!
pretty area lois!
I like the boardwalk with its shadows. It probably offers some nice views along the way. I can't image what kind of critters hang around in or near the swamp.
it does look nice!
There are a lot of these places in Florida and I like the walkway because you get out in the middle of some property which you'd never be able to do otherwise. And I have seen some of these critters you mentioned.
Nice photos, Lois!
i agree the fence must be a property line because it sure would not keep those critters you mentioned in or out from either side. i love that walk way. we have several in the swamps here. i love swamps but not if i had to walk in one
What a wonderful boardwalk. Those reflections are gorgeous. I sure would hate to fall into the swamp. That would not be fun :-) The park has done a wonderful job designing it.
Love the boardwalks across swampy areas, although I don't think we have as 'exciting' things lurking in the water as you do Lois :)
That elevated walk looks very long!
I like the idea of a boardwalk above the swamps!
We have swampy areas here, but nothing with the sort of big critters you'd get!
Looks like a great boardwalk for photo safaris, Lois.
Fantastic photo perspective and composition on the lovely fence/boardwalk ~
Happy Week to you ~ ^_^
Boardwalks are hard to resist no matter where they are!
I'd love to have the opportunity to walk on that one!
Love the swamp pics and it's nice that the pedestrian part of the bridge is so nicely separated from cars!
Wonderful shot, Lois!
The fence makes nice shadows as well.
I'm just a HUGE fan of boardwalks. I know they're hard to construct. But they take you across such interesting places.
Wonderful sights, but not sure I could make the entire boardwalk.
Man that boardwalk seems to go on forever. That would be quite a walk. I spotted your fence in the last shot too. It was pretty well hidden though.
That is a lovely walkway. Nice bright sunshine!
I wanted to walk there! It reminds me of the swamps near the forests of my childhood.
That is a great Florida fence! It is beautiful and it does keep us safe from those critters (and/or vice-versa). I love our boardwalks!
Looks like the kind of place I would love to go birding.
