It was very hard for me to choose a "best of the year" photo from my blog, but here is one of my favorites. This mockingbird was posing for me just outside of the Florida Capitol building in downtown Tallahassee. The mockingbird is Florida's state bird. I have plenty of them hanging around my yard and they often wake me up in the morning with their beautiful songs. The first day of the month is Theme Day in the City Daily Photo Community. I don't think I've ever seen a photo of a mockingbird. I also know how hard it is to take photographs of birds - they move so quickly. I love this one! Happy New Year from the Loire Valley in France.
I do remember this shot, and I wondered what charm offensive you put on to get this guy so interested in what you were doing and saying.
