Monday Mural

Hosted by the Florida State University Department of Art Education and designed by Art Therapy graduate students, this mural was completed in February and is another one of Tallahassee's community mural projects. I have featured other community mural projects previously on my blog here and here. Basically anyone is invited to join in on the fun and the results are usually wonderful. This one is entitled "I AM Gaines Street" and is located on the side of an old building on (you probably guessed it) Gaines Street near downtown. To read more about this particular community mural, please visit this page.

LOVE it! Kid friendly too. But why the period after the "I" at the end, I wonder? Significance?

I love the colors and who doesn't love bubbles (if that's what they are)!? Great job getting it all in the pic!

Oooh, this is gloriously colorful, and I am usually not a fan of murals.

Looks like it would be good art therapy to paint that.
