Good Fences
I'm not sure what that contraption is on the edge of Lake Ella, but there is a fence down there in the water around it. I guess it keeps fish or other critters from getting to close. Linking to Good Fences.
Great, interesting shot for the day, Lois, as always!! Fences seem to be needed everywhere these days!! Hope you're getting ready for a beautiful weekend!!

A fence in the water! The contraption is probably some kind of lock...
Maybe a fence to prevent swimming in water.
Very beautiful view.
Oh, I thought maybe the water had risen or something. Interesting fence, something to ponder. ;-)
I used to know what these things are - some kind of method of lowering or raising water levels, I think. Maybe you should ask Ella, it's her lake! :))
Pretty lake, I would think the fence protects the birds and fish. Great fence scene. Have a happy day!
You do find the most unusual fences Lois :)
I think that is a drain and the fence is there to prevent the fish are washed away...
Beautiful lake, fountain and reflections
looks like part of the fence is under water. great shot
i agree - some sort of lock to control lake levels. guess they need that watery fence to keep things/people out.
That thing looks like one of our irrigation control areas. Here, it's where you open up the valve to let the water in to irrigate a yard.
TWG is very wise.

Interesting. One can sometimes find a fence in the most odd place!
I do agree with the water level control idea. That's what it seems to me.
A fence under water...that is interesting. Perhaps it keeps junk out of whatever that contraption is.
It must be to keep fish out since it isn't very far above the water.
With all the rain we have had, this fence would be covered. I am sure it is for some protection.
