Last weekend I attended the Miss Majorette of Florida Competition in Orlando because my granddaughter, who is 6 years old, was a participant. There were quite a few trophies up for grabs and I'm proud to say she came home with one of them, as well as a couple of medals and a ribbon!

It seem there was a price for everyone!
Very attractive (and inspiring!) display. :-)
Good for her! :)
how neat! congratulations!
Oh she's a little treasure Lois, you must be so proud of her.
Good job!!
Good for your granddaughter!
I silently curse this 'everybody gets a trophy' mentality of this country now. We've got BOXES of them in the attic. Want 'em?
Oh, that's wonderful, Lois!! Good for her and I know you are proud and rightfully so!! Have a lovely weekend -- both of you!!
What a display! My compliments to your granddaughter!
Very coveted I bet.
Love your fan yesterday!
That's great, Lois!
I know what you mean Birdman, but this was not that type of competition. In fact, if everyone who entered had gotten a trophy, then the place would have been wall to wall trophies with no room for the competitors, which included little ones younger than my granddaughter all the way up to adults. In fact, I watched the majorettes from the University of Central Florida as well as the University of Florida. Sadly no FSU majorettes competed, but there was quite a lot of talent there!
Wow, fancy stuff. I bet she had fun. Tom The Backroads Traveller
Congratulations to your granddaughter, Lois !
