A Little Prop
I'm not sure what was going on here, but apparently either one or both of these trees needed to be stabilized at some point. I hope the tree on the left isn't depending on the tree on the right, because I think it has seen better days.
What an odd situation, but I love that you captured it!
A strange construction indeed.
Both look perilously close to the house.
how interesting! good eye!
Wow, incredible, and it makes for good conversation!
Well, that's not something you see everyday!! What a good eye you have indeed, Lois!! I do hope their house is safe!!
Hmmm...that is interesting and strange.
Part of an old swing set?
Very odd indeed!
That is a bit strange, but I would guess it was the healthier tree on the left helping prop up the one on the right.
Maybe it was used as a high bar for pole vaulters preparing for the Olympics. Well, hey, that could be the case! :)
Could be something gymnastic? A mystery..
Lois, looks like the swings are gone! Tom The Backroads Traveller
I notice the lower branches have been trimmed. In our school, some kids climbed bout 5 stories. I had to wait and tell them how high they climbed.
Well now that is intriguing Lois.. will we ever find out exactly what is/was going on here :)
I keep wondering about the use of this contraption... Great picture, by the way!
I would think it was once a swing set.
