Photos from Florida's Capital City (and occasionally a few from other interesting places I have been fortunate enough to visit in my travels!)
Well I wonder what was wound around these biggies Marianne, wire perhaps!
They look funny, like giant spools of thread.
Maybe they are too heavy to move..if it was made of copper, they would be gone.. Great capture, have a happy day!
A great capture. Love those giant spools. I think they are used for heavy cables - like electricity cables etc.
You are right, they shouldn't worry too much about them. But maybe they shouldn't let me get too close to the rusty one ;)Great picture!Have a fine day【ツ】Knipsa
I bet there is an artist somewhere who could come up the a work of art to make from these.
great colors and even some rust, too! thanks, lois!
How cool are these spools! They are like artwork just sitting there!
LOL....this is cute! The fence sure makes a a great background scene for these big ol' rolls. Great colors..
They are indeed colorful!! What a fun shot for the day, Lois!!
For sure great capture.
They look quite heavy, but here they wouldn't be safe anyway...
Heavy cables are the first thing that comes to mind seeing those.
Definitely a great capture!
Those big wheels are interesting and colorful. The barbed wire fencing means business for sure about keeping out.
they are ginormous!
Someone will grab one for a coffee table. Just wanting a piece of round glass.
I hope they won't be disappointed. It's a nice photo!
Can you see the police report...huge spools stolen from this location... too heavy to carry. Must've used a back-hoe!They are very colorful, by the way.
Ooooh imagine thread. Just good old quilting thread! :-)
Some are used to hold wire for various utilities. It would take a lift truck to move one.
Lovely photo of those colorful spools.
Great shot - very eye catching.
I like these a lot, Lois!
Looks like those spools could make a run for it if they weren't fenced in.
Anyone who can heft one of those suckers can have it!
Great find against this fence.
Great pic Lois of these giant spools. Yes, I guess they aren't worried as they would be hard to run off with. LOLHave a nice weekend.Hugs, CM
I'm picturing a giant with a sewing machine...
Oh, these spools are GREAT!!
Those are quite the spools! Nice shots! My grandma made some end tables out of some slightly smaller ones.
No-one would even notice the fence with those spools there. They certainly are interesting!
