SkyWatch Friday
This lamp post light had just come on as the sun was going down. Linking to SkyWatch Friday.
I have added the second picture to this post today because you may have heard about the horrific events that unfolded yesterday morning on the campus of my beloved alma mater, Florida State University. I am thankful to the FSU Police Department and the Tallahassee Police Department for their quick response and courageous actions that prevented this tragedy from becoming much, much worse than it was.

Magnificent "SkyWatch" shot, well done, Lois!
Wonderfully clear sky--something we haven't seen much of here as of late. :-)
So many dreadful things happening around the world today Lois, it's getting harder to focus on the good but focus we must, love your positive blue skies and composition in your first shot.
i thought of you when i read that headline. terrible.
I did hear about that horrid event. I say it every time but, when will this kind of craziness stop.
I wish someone would 'shed a light' on why all these shootings.
A very elegant lamp post! I think Birdman's comment is just right...
That lamp post picture is digital perfection incarnate! Gorgeous.
Hard to believe what happened at FSU. We lived next door to a man who was mentally disturbed for several years. He was scary. After we moved, he shot himself. Thank goodness he didn't decide to take half the neighborhood.
Re your snake comments: The one I posted is harmless and helpful around the yard. The kitties watch it from inside our screened lanai. But we have others. Our neighbor is afraid to open her front door because on several occasions small snakes have somehow gotten on top of the door and drop off in her living room when the door opens! :)
Pretty lamp, gorgeous sky!
So much violence and craziness there is indeed! Stay safe!
I didn't hear about the event but share your horror, Lois.
a post very graphic
Very nice shot of the lamp post against the gorgeous blue, Lois.
How sad that so many unbalanced people are resorting to violence.
Yes, I did hear about that, Lois. It could have easily been much worse.
Wonderful blue sky, kurs are rainy and grey. So nice healing from you again. Have a wonderful weekend.
Amen to your thoughts on what happened at FSU. It could have been much worse. Love the lamp post. It's a lovely photo!
I think of you every time the news covers the FSU shootings. It appears that there was a classy remembrance at today's football game.
