Ugly Turtles

Two Florida Softshell Turtles scavenging near the edge of Lake Ella. These turtles have very long necks and can grow quite big. As you can tell from the one peeking out of the water on the right, they also have long pointed heads.

Funny those long necks, they almost seem not to belong to the bodys.

Turtles are pretty cool.

I don't find them ugly. There's a big one living on a pond nearby. I find it always on the same spot every time I go there.

have never seen a softshell in person, but they are funky looking things. :)

Well, they may not when a beauty award, but they're still interesting fellows!! Hope you have a great weekend, Lois!

I think turtles are such interestingly designed creatures.

Poor things. Maybe they love the way they look to each other. :-)
