I'm still showing pictures from my visit to Austin, Texas last week. The
Texas Chili Parlor is located within walking distance of the state capitol building, which we had just finished touring when we stopped here for a late lunch. The food was fabulous and so was the atmosphere. I also bought one of their cool t-shirts. I liked their sign too, so I'm linking up with
signs, signs.

I like the sign too! Sounds like the kind of place I would enjoy. :)
i like the sign and the name!
I've heard great things about Austin. Love the exterior look and vibe of this restaurant.
A very funny sign!
Altogether a great post, Lois! I'll bet that sign stands out at night!
Love the idea of a Chili Parlor Lois :)
yum! tex mex sounds great!
I like the big chili :)
I went to Austin three years in a row for an annual conference that was work related. That is such a great city to explore and I had some really fabulous food while there. On one visit, our group toured the capital too. I also loved standing under the Congress Street bridge and watching the bats come out in the evening.
I'm HOT!
... but can't stomach anything 'warm' in the food category. Ya, I know I'm missing out on a lot. Hey, I have to take it easy applying mustard. Sad!
Neat sign. thanks for sharing.
What a great sign and fun name! I do love Mexican food!! Definitely my kind of place, Lois!! Hope your week is going well!
I love it! I bet the t-shirt is cool too.
Love it! Making me hungry too!
(I didn't mean Clark Gable's costumes, I meant the man himself, lol!!!)
a sign very colored
Quite a sign!
I'm like Birdman on this one... I'm not much into spicy food like that, so I avoid chili.
A Chili Parlor! Sounds Hot!

Typically Austin. We lived in Texas for about 14 years all told and spent many happy times in Austin. It's a fun city and I'm sure you had a great trip!
I love Austin! Great choice for a sign pic! Isn't the Capitol building great?
The lighting and shadows look pretty against the sign.
Great sign. And the Texas Capitol building was great..we really enjoyed our tour of it. And Austin is neat! Thanks for the travel memories.
Cool!
I bet it looks pretty good when it is lit up a night.
I'm going to Dallas soon, but won't have time for a trip to Austin. Wish I did. The good thing, I'll be able to get a Tex-Mex food fix. :)
