They paved paradise….

And put up a parking lot, as Joni Mitchell once sang. or in this case a shopping center and parking lot. This huge 9 acre lot has been shaded by tall pine trees for as long as I can remember. This is what it looked like yesterday. Several years ago I posted a picture of the trees here. I guess you can't fight progress.

Ah, so sad to lose so much of nature's beauty to more places to encourage people to spend money they don't need to spend!!!Great shot, as always, Lois! Hope the new week goes well!!

And then they complain about climate disasters! Look at what Brazil is doing to the Amazon: http://america.aljazeera.com/articles/2014/9/11/destruction-of-worldslargestrainforestspikesby29percent.html

Frustrating. Woods like these are the sort of things cities should be protecting.

I went back to see the previous post of the pine forest. This is less progress than devastation.

Some people believe we can never have too many places to shop, I fear.

So sad. We need another shopping center like a hole in the head. What a shame.
