This is a picture of the front of the Florida Governor's Mansion. It is quite big and not possible to get a clear picture of the whole thing because of the trees and walls surrounding it. Neither of the two candidates running for the chance to occupy this house for the next four years appeals to me, so I guess it really will be a case of voting for the lesser of two evils.

Today is our New Zealand General Election Day, and yes I have voted, I feel much the same way as you but we have choice of many more, none really appeal so I also chose the lessor of the evils and hope for the best.
sad case when that happens...
What an elegant residence!
Sadly, that does seem to happen a lot these days!! I know I'll be doing the same here in Oregon!! Hope you have a good weekend, Lois, take care!
It is a nice mansion. Unfortunately that seems the way of politics these days: which of these options is likely to screw up less?
That's politics these days. Lots of lesser of two EVILS!
It seems it doesn't matter what country you are in this is a similar problem everywhere
I was watching the Ken Burns documentary about the Roosevelts on PBS tonight and the comment was made about how remarkable it was that, when it was most important, Britain (Churchill) and the United States (Roosevelt) had exactly the right kind of leader needed for those difficult times. Maybe times are not yet desperate enough in Florida.
I think the occupants of such houses start getting filled with their own importance after a time whether they have any (importance that is) or not! :-(
I agree with Mo. It seems every country is struggling with politics.
Yup - it is the same everywhere, Lois!
Sadly politics are the same here in Canada! This mansion sure is grand!
Snowbird who doesn't vote in Florida, but I care what happens. Only I'd probably be just like you in this election even if I did spend all my time in the state. Anyway a lovely huge home . And we MUSt get to your city to explore all these historic spots. Maybe this season!
