signs, signs and Good Fences

There was no room for the sign between the fence and the parking spot, but don't park here unless you are driving an alternative fuel vehicle or you will be towed! This sign is located on the Florida State University campus. Linking with signs, signs and Good Fences.

The sign looks neat photographed through the fence. I'd obey!

Do alternative fuel vehicles look different or have different markings? How would they know my Acura is not an alternative fuel vehicle? I wouldn't try to park there, though, 'cause I don't want to get towed! :)

I've seen a couple of alternative fuel vehicles recently. They're actually easily identifiable by markings, and plates.

I wonder if there was an electrical outlet there so those with electric cars could plug them in.

We have a few of them, mostly electric (in Paris you can rent them from the city)...

I guess by alternative fuel, they mean electric? I don't know of any other alternatives, except maybe natural gas...

Oh, I could have gone there with my self-powered pedal-car, 50 years ago! Darn, too late again!

I am surprised that they were able to get the sign post that close to the fence.

I don't think I have seen parking spots like that here..
Thanks for showing!

That's a new one for me!

"Alternate fuel" leaves it open for interpretation. What if I had biodiesel in my car? How do they know?

I've seen signs like that too. Usually the parking spot is empty.

Certainly and interesting sign behind that fence. Makes one ponder what "alternative" means.

What a neat photo and it's nice to meet someone else from Florida! And that is a gopher tortoise that I showed a photo of today! Thanks for stopping by to visit! Hugs, Diane

Well by gum, what is so special about alternative fuels!

An obvious case of fuelism.

Really! I'm speechless. Can't believe that deserves such privileges. :)

How exciting! Who knows what parking lots will look like in the near future?

If I had an electric car in need of charging, that tow-away zone sign would give me pause about whether I could use that spot.

A little tight there! Great find!

Hard to know what qualifies as "alternative" fuel. I would think biodiesel should qualify, but it doesn't need to be plugged in to an electrical outlet. Guess if you park there and get towed away, you were not alternative enough.
