Snowy Egret

This pretty bird was looking for dinner at the edge of Lake Ella. Can you see the yellow feet through the water? Linking with Wild Bird Wednesday.

I love how you can see the dulled colour of the feet, ruffled the image with the water. I love that you see his or her shadow too... it adds to the enjoyment of the picture.

I love the way they bob their heads into the water picking up some tiny little object.

This is a perfect shot, Lois. It's sharp, the bird is beautiful, and the colors (including the feet in the water) are wonderful!

These guys are so stylishly elegant. I miss 'em already. We do get blue herons up north, but I don't remember seeing snowy egrets.

The big yellow feet always make me smile - they look like the bird is wearing washing up gloves!

Pretty egret -- we have a few here at our Lake here in Oregon too (now that we've left Florida for the summer) -- but only the ones with black legs.
