Listen to the Mockingbird
This little bird was standing on this sign singing his heart out when I was parking my car, so I just had to get a picture even if it was through the wind shield. The mockingbird is Florida's state bird. Linking up with Wild Bird Wednesday.
Hi Lois, I'm very happy that I can meet you. In the early 19th century, my grandfather's older brothers also emigrated to the USA. My grandfather was too small so he was. Therefore, I also live here still. I do not know what happened to the brothers grandfather, where this family. I read that in Tallahassee 1.5% of the population declares Polish origin. And if anyone of you speak Polish? Best wishes :)

An excellent photo Lois, you captured him in full action twittering.
They can be quite aggressive, but I do like their song. :)

Gorgeous shot, Lois!
I didn't know that the mockingbird is Florida's state bird, thanks for the information :)
I love catching birds as they are just singing their hearts out.
How sweet! Singing his heart out.
A perfect shot, with an incredible blue background!
I can almost hear it singing! Great catch.
Great shot!
Pretty but unfortunately there is no soundtrack! ;-)
This is a really well-composed photo and you caught the avian in a full-throated pose!
While at Ohio State in Choir we sang a song about the Mocking Bird. I can always hear that lovely tune in my head when I see a Mocking Bird.
Striking looking bird!
I always love to hear them!
Another good reason to keep your camera on the passenger seat while driving around. Nice one.
What a cute birdie! Great picture Lois!
awwwww! and now i have a hankering to watch to kill a mocking bird!
Fantastic shot.
They are a great sounding bird - and I saw my first one recently on a trip to Arizona - and I thought they looked OK as well!
