Kudzu

It doesn't take long for the kudzu to make a comeback as soon as the weather gets warm. Kudzu is that bright green vine you can see climbing up to the right of the sign in this picture. Pretty soon it will take over and cover everything it touches. If you don't know what kudzu is, you can find out more about this invasive plant here. By the way, I never would have expected to find a conservation area behind a Target store, which is where I took this shot.

Yes, I noticed the Kudzu covers all the other plants.

When we head to the Red Neck Riviera I'm always on the lookout for the "kudzu line" where it starts. It sure makes a mess of things.

Don't know this plant but if it covers all others, I'd probably be ripping it away! ;-)

Never heard of Kudzu before. Thanks, Lois.

I don't know this plant either, but I'm with Ciel, I'd be ripping away, too!! Have a great day, Lois!!

I had never seen kudzu before until about ten years ago when I saw a vine I didn't recognize in our local park. Turns out that is exactly what it was. It is frightening how they can take over forests and such.

I had not heard of this plant before but it sounds like it could get pretty destructive if left unchecked.

I have heard of this plant, but fortunately it doesn't get this far north.
