Champs

If you follow college football at all, then you probably already know that my favorite football team won the BCS National Championship and our quarterback, Jameis Winston, won the Heisman Trophy this past season. FSU held a celebration for the fans at Doak Campbell Stadium on the Florida State campus and afterwards we were allowed down on the field. While I was walking around down there, I realized that although I have been in that stadium many, many times over the years to watch games, this was the first time I had been down on the field in almost 40 years. The last time I was down there, I was wearing my cap and gown at my graduation ceremony and listening to actress Helen Hayes give the commencement address. Mostly I just remember how hot it was that day since the heat and humidity in Tallahassee during the summer can be quite stifling. Fortunately for students graduating these days, there is an air conditioned indoor arena for their commencement ceremonies. I took the first picture when I was walking around on the field. The second picture is of the FSU football team on stage with Coach Jimbo Fisher.

You have to be proud. I'm not really a College football fan but Florida State really did well this year.
